The National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress, David Mark, has assured members that the party will participate in the 2027 general elections despite ongoing legal disputes.
Mark gave the assurance on Wednesday night after receiving an update from the party’s legal team on a recent ruling by the Federal High Court in Abuja.
He dismissed fears over the litigations, expressing optimism that the party would prevail in court.
“There is no cause for alarm over the cases before the party,” he said. “We are confident of success and will be on the ballot in all elections.”
The former Senate President also affirmed the party’s readiness to exhaust all legal avenues to defend its position.
According to him, the ADC is fully prepared to tackle the challenges within the framework of the law, adding that he would personally oversee the legal process.
It was gathered that the party’s legal team has already filed an appeal against the judgment and sought a stay of execution, indicating its resolve to challenge the outcome.

Mark’s remarks come amid intensified efforts by the party to position itself ahead of the 2027 polls.
Party sources said the development is expected to reassure members and supporters, while strengthening confidence in the ADC’s prospects.
Earlier, the legal team had briefed Mark and other party leaders on the implications of the court ruling and outlined strategies for the next phase of the legal battle.
