ADC Releases 2027 Primary Timetable, Sets Presidential Form at ₦100m

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has released its timetable for primary elections ahead of the 2027 general elections and fixed the presidential nomination form at ₦100 million.


According to the party, sale of nomination forms will run from May 5 to May 10, while completed forms must be submitted between May 11 and May 13, 2026.


Screening of aspirants is scheduled for May 14 to May 15, with results to be published on May 17. Appeals will be heard from May 18 to May 19, while the final list of cleared aspirants will be released on May 20.


The party said legislative primaries for State House of Assembly, House of Representatives, and Senate seats will hold on May 21. Governorship primaries are set for May 22, while the presidential primary will take place on May 25.


ADC also announced nomination fees for other positions: governorship forms cost ₦50 million, Senate ₦20 million, House of Representatives ₦10 million, and State House of Assembly ₦3 million.


To encourage participation, the party introduced discounts of 50 percent for youths and 25 percent for women and persons with disabilities.
