The All Progressives Congress has taken a swipe at former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi, following his resignation from the African Democratic Congress.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, described Obi as a “political rolling stone,” accusing him of lacking the commitment to build and sustain a political platform.
The ruling party alleged that Obi’s frequent movement across parties reflects a quest for an uncontested presidential ticket rather than a dedication to party development.
“Peter Obi is never willing to remain to build any party. He appears to be in search of a free and unchallenged presidential ticket,” the statement read.
Morka further criticised Obi’s political trajectory, listing his past affiliations and suggesting that his latest move signals yet another attempt to secure a favourable platform ahead of future elections.

He said, “From APGA to PDP, LP and now ADC, and possibly beyond, he continues to drift politically.”
Obi had earlier announced his resignation from the ADC, attributing his decision to internal divisions and challenges within the party.
The development has further fuelled political exchanges between the ruling party and opposition figures as alignments begin to shift ahead of the 2027 general elections.
