The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Felix Morka, has criticised opposition figures Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso, describing them as “unserious” politicians over their frequent party changes.
Morka made the remarks during an interview on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief, where he reacted to reports that both former presidential candidates recently moved from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
According to him, the opposition leaders are not focused on building a strong alternative political vision for Nigeria but are instead moving from one party to another in search of a platform to secure presidential tickets.
“These fellows are very unserious… they are just running from pillar to post looking for a free platform to get a presidential ticket,” Morka said.
He also dismissed claims that the APC was responsible for the internal crises in opposition parties, insisting that the ruling party had no role in their instability.
Morka argued that Obi, who previously criticised politicians for party switching, has now become an example of what he called “political nomadism.”
He further described the opposition parties as unstable, saying their internal struggles were self-inflicted and not influenced by the APC.
Meanwhile, Obi and Kwankwaso, alongside other political leaders including Seriake Dickson, were recently received into the NDC during a closed-door meeting ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Their defection has continued to generate reactions as political realignments intensify ahead of the next election cycle.
