Tensions between the United States and Iran are rising again, putting their fragile ceasefire under serious pressure. The situation escalated in the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global shipping route.
According to US officials, Iran launched cruise missiles and drones and deployed small boats near US-flagged vessels. Although no ships were hit and no casualties were recorded, the incident has heightened concerns. Iran, however, described the action as “warning shots,” claiming US naval forces were approaching in violation of the ceasefire.

US President Donald Trump issued a strong warning, stating that Iran would face severe consequences if it attacks American vessels. He also referenced “Project Freedom,” a US initiative aimed at assisting ships affected by Iran’s restrictions in the area.
Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates reported intercepting multiple missiles and drones launched from Iran. It also confirmed that a tanker linked to its national oil company was struck during the incident.
The latest developments suggest that the ceasefire remains fragile, with the risk of further escalation still high.
