Air Peace Explains Lagos-London Flight Disruption, Cites Technical Fault

Nigerian airline Air Peace has explained that a minor technical fault discovered during routine post-boarding checks caused the disruption of its scheduled Lagos-to-London flight.

According to the airline’s spokesperson, Efe Osifo-Whiskey, the issue was detected by the airline’s technical team before takeoff, prompting the aircraft to be withdrawn from service in line with international aviation safety standards.

Air Peace stated that all affected passengers were safely disembarked and provided with support, including hotel accommodation and other assistance during the delay.

The airline also confirmed that a replacement aircraft would depart from London to transport passengers as scheduled on Saturday morning.

Reaffirming its commitment to safety, Air Peace said passenger wellbeing will always take priority over flight schedules, while thanking customers for their patience and understanding during the disruption.
