Former spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Seye Oladejo, has officially declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat representing Mushin Constituency II.
Oladejo made the announcement during a gathering in Mushin attended by party leaders, stakeholders, supporters, and residents ahead of the APC primaries scheduled for next week.
Among those present at the event were APC chieftain Senator Ganiyu Solomon, Mushin Constituency II lawmaker Yinka Esho Kazeem, and Mushin Local Government Chairman, Olatunbosun Aruwe.
Addressing supporters, Oladejo said his ambition was driven by a desire to provide stronger representation and attract more development to the constituency.
He expressed confidence in his political experience and understanding of the needs of the people, stating that he was well prepared to represent Mushin effectively at the National Assembly.
The APC aspirant also praised President Bola Tinubu for his ongoing reforms, describing them as necessary steps toward economic stability and national growth.
Oladejo pledged to focus on education, vocational training, industrial development, and support for traders and small business owners if elected.
He also reiterated his support for granting Lagos a special status because of its growing population and economic importance.
Speaking at the event, Mushin Local Government Chairman, Olatunbosun Aruwe, urged APC members to remain united ahead of the primaries and future elections.
Director-General of the Seye Oladejo Campaign Organisation, Kayode Shobande, appealed to party delegates to prioritise competence, experience, and continuity when choosing candidates.
Meanwhile, Chairman of The Mandate Movement in Mushin Constituency, Abdul-Fatai Idowu, presented Oladejo and incumbent lawmaker Yinka Esho Kazeem as preferred candidates for the House of Representatives and Lagos State House of Assembly seats respectively.
Supporters at the event expressed confidence in Oladejo’s ability to deliver quality representation for Mushin Constituency II if elected.
