Osimhen Fires Galatasaray To Fourth Straight Turkish League Title

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen scored twice as Galatasaray came from behind to defeat Antalyaspor 4-2 and secure their fourth consecutive Turkish League title on Saturday.

Galatasaray initially fell behind before Mario Lemina sparked the comeback. Osimhen later equalised from the penalty spot before scoring the decisive goal late in the match to send home fans into celebration.

Kaan Ayhan added another goal in stoppage time to seal the victory and officially confirm Galatasaray as champions ahead of rivals Fenerbahce.

The triumph marks Galatasaray’s 26th Turkish league title and also guarantees the club automatic qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League group stage.

Osimhen’s brace took his league tally to 15 goals in 21 matches this season. The 25-year-old has now won league titles in three consecutive seasons, including his Serie A triumph with Napoli in the 2023/24 campaign.

The Turkish title is also Osimhen’s second league trophy with Galatasaray since joining the club on loan last season.
