Atiku not sick, remains fit for ADC primary — Aide

The media office of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has dismissed reports claiming that the frontline presidential aspirant of the African Democratic Congress is ill.

An online platform had alleged that Atiku took ill over the weekend and was subsequently placed on bed rest by his personal doctors.

Reacting to the report on Monday night, Atiku’s media team described the claim as false and misleading, insisting that the former vice president remains healthy and actively engaged in political activities ahead of the party’s presidential primary.

In a statement issued by the media office, the camp urged Nigerians to disregard what it described as a “mischievous report.”

“The ADC chieftain remains strong, focused, and fully prepared for the task ahead,” the statement read.

The former vice president is among prominent aspirants seeking the presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress ahead of the 2027 general election.
