BREAKING: Atiku visits Amaechi after ADC presidential primary

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Thursday paid a visit to former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, at his residence in Abuja shortly after the conclusion of the African Democratic Congress presidential primary.

Atiku was accompanied by former Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, ex-National Chairman of the ADC, Ralph Nwosu, alongside other party stakeholders.

The visit comes amid growing political reactions and consultations following the party’s presidential primary, where both Atiku and Amaechi emerged as prominent contenders.

Although details of the closed-door meeting were not immediately made public, the development has stirred fresh discussions within political circles over ongoing alignments and consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The meeting is also seen as part of efforts by party leaders to maintain unity within the ADC after the keenly contested primary exercise.

Supporters of both political figures have continued to react to the outcome of the primary, with analysts closely monitoring possible realignments within the opposition bloc.
