Ondo opens recruitment portal for lawyers, sets deadline

The Ondo State Civil Service Commission has commenced recruitment of qualified legal practitioners into the state Ministry of Justice, Alagbaka, Akure.

The commission, in a public service announcement issued by its Permanent Secretary, Mr Omotayo Akeju, invited applications for the position of Senior State Legal Counsel on Grade Level 10.

According to the statement, applicants must be qualified Solicitors and Advocates of the Supreme Court of Nigeria with not more than two years post-call experience.

The commission added that interested candidates must possess a Bachelor of Laws degree as well as a valid Call-to-Bar certificate from recognised institutions.

Other requirements listed include completion of the National Youth Service Corps programme where applicable, computer literacy, and possession of a valid certificate of state of origin alongside a birth certificate or declaration of age affidavit.

The commission also stated that applicants must be physically and mentally fit and should not be above 45 years of age.

It disclosed that the recruitment portal opened on May 25, 2026, and would close on June 1, 2026.

Qualified candidates were advised to complete their applications through the state civil service recruitment portal before the deadline expires.

The commission urged interested applicants to take advantage of the opportunity and ensure compliance with all application requirements.
