2027: Obi’s Record Proves He Delivers on Promises — Obidient Movement

Peter Obi has been described as a leader who matches words with action by the Obidient Movement following his emergence as the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for the 2027 election.

Speaking on Arise Television, Yunusa Tanko said Obi’s record as former governor of Anambra State demonstrates his commitment to accountability and keeping promises made to the public.

Tanko stated that Obi’s pledge to serve only one term of four years was not only publicly declared but was also reflected in party resolutions and agreements reached during the candidate affirmation process.

According to him, Obi’s approach to leadership has strengthened supporters’ confidence in his credibility, arguing that the former governor has consistently shown a willingness to be held accountable for his promises.

The remarks followed Obi’s confirmation as the NDC presidential flagbearer ahead of the 2027 general election. The former governor later announced Rabiu Kwankwaso as his running mate.

The Obidient Movement said Obi’s emergence signals a leadership style focused on trust, transparency and responsibility in governance.
