BREAKING: Abducted Ondo council official regains freedom

Joseph Kayode Aladesuyi, the Secretary of a Local Council Development Area in Akoko North-West Local Government Area, has regained his freedom after being held captive by suspected kidnappers for several days.

Aladesuyi was reportedly abducted at Ilu-Abo in Akure North Local Government Area, close to the Akure Airport.

The council official, who hails from Irun-Akoko, was said to have been kidnapped while attending to work on his farm in the area.

Family sources confirmed on Friday that he had been released by his abductors after an undisclosed ransom was paid.

Aladesuyi, an agro-investor and the Chief Executive Officer of JOTINA Farms, reportedly spent several days in captivity before regaining his freedom.

His release has brought relief to relatives and associates who had been worried about his safety since the incident occurred.

Meanwhile, security agencies are yet to issue an official statement on the abduction and the circumstances surrounding his release.
