A TikTok user known as Debrakin has accused popular live band artiste, Segun Johnson, of ending their 13-year relationship shortly after persuading her to relocate to Lagos.
Debrakin, in a series of posts on the social media platform, narrated that their relationship lasted over a decade, despite periods of separation and reconciliation.
She said she had at some point relocated to the United Kingdom, where they later reunited when the singer visited after attaining fame.
According to her, they resumed their relationship from where it had previously stalled.
The woman explained that she often travelled between Nigeria and the UK, but returned abroad in January after a visit to Lagos late last year.
She alleged that the musician later urged her to move back to Lagos permanently, promising to support her if necessary.
Although she initially declined, citing her desire for financial independence, she said she eventually gave in after repeated persuasion.
Debrakin claimed she abandoned a new job opportunity overseas and relocated to Nigeria, believing the move was in preparation for a more serious commitment between them.
However, she alleged that things took a different turn shortly after her return, particularly following the singer’s trip to the UK.
She claimed she became suspicious after discovering that a gift he brought back had been given to him by another woman, a revelation that later triggered tension in the relationship.
According to her, attempts to address the issue did not yield resolution, as the singer allegedly ended the relationship through a voice note message.
She described the development as unexpected, adding that she was left confused by the sudden decision.
Efforts to get a response from Segun Johnson were unsuccessful, as calls and messages sent to him were not answered as of the time of filing this report.
In a subsequent post, Debrakin stated that going public with her experience was part of her personal healing process, noting that speaking out would help her move forward.
