Nentawe Yilwatda and Ajibola Basiru have been returned as national chairman and national secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), respectively.
Both officials were elected unopposed at the party’s fourth elective national convention held at Eagle Square in Abuja, following the adoption of a consensus arrangement.
The party had earlier confirmed that it would maintain its existing zoning formula for National Working Committee (NWC) positions, urging aspirants to comply strictly with the arrangement.
The convention, themed “Unity in Progress: Consolidating the Renewed Hope Agenda,” attracted top political figures, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice-President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas.
The convention planning committee was led by Aminu Bello Masari and Anyim Pius Anyim.
According to Mohammed Idris, over 8,400 delegates participated in the convention.
