A massive fire has destroyed large sections of a Kimberly-Clark distribution warehouse in Ontario, triggering an intense emergency response.
The blaze, which broke out around 12:30 a.m., quickly escalated into a six-alarm fire due to the presence of highly flammable paper products such as tissues and toilet paper stored in the facility. The warehouse, reportedly spanning nearly one million square feet, sustained significant damage as flames spread rapidly.
Firefighters from multiple agencies responded to the incident, battling the inferno as thick smoke engulfed the surrounding Inland Empire area. Parts of the building’s roof collapsed under the heat, forcing emergency crews to withdraw at certain points for safety.
Authorities say about 20 workers were inside the facility when the fire started, but no injuries have been reported.
The incident is being treated as suspected arson. A warehouse employee has been taken into custody and is currently being questioned by investigators, although officials have not disclosed further details about the suspect or possible motive.
In a statement, Kimberly-Clark confirmed awareness of the incident and said it is working to assess the extent of the damage.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the fire and the full scale of losses.
