JUST IN: INEC redeploys Mutiu Agboke from Osun to Ondo as Resident Electoral Commissioner

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has transferred the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Osun State, Mutiu Agboke, to Ondo State.

Agboke, who has served in Osun for about three and a half years, will continue his duties in his new posting. He initially assumed office in Osun in November 2022 after completing a previous term in Oyo State, and was reappointed that same year by former President Muhammadu Buhari.

During his tenure, he oversaw the conduct of the 2023 Nigerian general elections in Osun State.

As of now, INEC has not announced a replacement for his position in Osun.
