The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has started releasing results of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, urging candidates to follow its designated SMS procedure to access their scores.
The examination body announced that candidates who wrote the test on Thursday would begin receiving their results from Friday night as part of a staggered release schedule.
Speaking on the development, JAMB’s spokesman, Fabian Benjamin, advised candidates to comply strictly with the approved process to avoid errors.
He explained that candidates are required to send “UTME RESULT” or “UTMERESULT” in uppercase letters to either 55019 or 66019 using text message.
The board emphasised that the message must be sent from the same phone number used during the registration process, warning that any deviation could prevent successful delivery of results.
With over 2.2 million candidates participating in this year’s exercise, JAMB said the phased release was necessary to ensure efficiency, urging candidates to remain calm as the process continues.
