Air Peace has alerted passengers to possible flight delays following ongoing aviation fuel supply shortages affecting airline operations across Nigeria.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the airline said the limited availability of Jet A1 fuel has disrupted scheduled departures at several terminals nationwide.
The airline assured passengers that it is working with relevant stakeholders to resolve the issue quickly and reduce inconvenience to travellers.
Air Peace also announced a temporary reduction in its Abuja-London service, cutting flights to three times weekly until July 1, 2026.
According to the airline, the decision was taken to maintain safety standards and operational efficiency during the fuel crisis. Full flight frequency on the route is expected to resume from July 1, if supply conditions improve.
Passengers affected by the changes were advised to contact the airline’s customer service team for free rescheduling.
The aviation fuel crisis has worsened in recent weeks, with reports indicating that the price of Jet A1 rose sharply from ₦900 per litre in February to about ₦3,300 per litre in April.
Earlier this month, domestic airlines threatened to suspend operations over rising costs, prompting intervention from the federal government.
President Bola Tinubu recently approved a 30 percent reduction in debts owed by local airlines to aviation agencies as part of efforts to cushion the impact of soaring fuel prices.
