As political activities gather momentum ahead of the next Ondo State elections, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has reiterated that its party tickets will be decided based on merit, loyalty, and winnability — criteria many supporters say place Hon. Ajobiewe David among the leading aspirants for Akoko South West Constituency 1.
Ajobiewe, described by party loyalists as a long-time committed member of the APC, is said to have maintained strong allegiance to the party and its leadership over the years. His supporters argue that his consistency and dedication have earned him recognition within political circles across the constituency.
They also point to his grassroots presence and community engagement as major strengths. According to associates, Ajobiewe has invested time and personal resources in community empowerment initiatives while helping to strengthen party structures at the local level.
Backers further claim that his popularity and close relationship with residents in Oka Akoko have helped him build a loyal support base, which they believe could be an advantage in any general election.
Beyond politics, supporters describe him as educated, energetic, intelligent, and industrious, adding that his humility and respect for party leaders have made him widely accepted among stakeholders.
They also cite his continued support for youth and community development, alleging that he has spent significant resources on empowerment programmes and pledged to do more if elected into the Ondo State House of Assembly.
With the APC emphasizing merit, loyalty, and electability in its candidate selection process, many party faithful believe Ajobiewe fits the profile of a strong contender as consultations continue ahead of the polls.
