A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Peter Obi, is currently in a closed-door meeting with former President Goodluck Jonathan.
The meeting is reportedly taking place at Jonathan’s residence in Abuja and is also being attended by some South-East political and community leaders.
Details of the discussions have not been made public as of the time of filing this report.
However, sources say the gathering may be linked to broader consultations among political actors ahead of the 2027 general elections, although this has not been officially confirmed by either side.
The development comes less than a week after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu hosted the former president at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, amid growing political engagements involving key national figures.
