The Independent National Electoral Commission has resumed the third phase of the Continuous Voter Registration exercise in Ondo State ahead of future elections.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Dr Mutiu Agboke, disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday, noting that the exercise commenced on Monday, May 11, 2026.
According to the commission, the registration exercise is being conducted nationwide through online pre-registration and physical in-person registration centres.
Agboke explained that the third phase of the exercise would adopt the IVED rotational framework for the first 40 days before moving fully to all local government offices in the state during the final phase.
“The third phase would adopt the IVED rotation framework for the first 40 days of the exercise, while the final five days would take place across all the 18 local government area offices of the commission in the state,” the statement read.
INEC said the exercise is expected to end on July 10, 2026, in line with the timetable approved by the commission.
The electoral body urged eligible Nigerians who had yet to register for their Permanent Voter Cards to take advantage of the exercise before the deadline.
It also encouraged voters seeking transfer of registration, correction of personal details or replacement of missing and defaced PVCs to participate in the process.
The commission assured residents of adequate preparations to ensure a seamless and inclusive registration exercise across the state.
“INEC in Ondo State is poised to ensure robust public engagement with all the activities of the commission to enhance better participation and awareness,” Agboke stated.
