Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, has announced the arrival of twin princes with his wife, Olori Mariam Ajibola, to the Royal House of Oduduwa.
The monarch disclosed the development in a statement shared on his official Facebook page on Friday, expressing gratitude to God for the safe delivery of the babies.
In the message, the traditional ruler congratulated the entire House of Oduduwa and celebrated the birth of the twins, noting that both mother and children were in good health.
“To God be all the glory and adoration for His wondrous works and abundant blessings once again,” the statement partly read.
The monarch also described the birth of the princes as a joyful moment for the royal family and appreciated the support and goodwill of well-wishers.
Olori Mariam Ajibola is among the wives married by the Ooni following the end of his marriage to Olori Naomi.
The Ooni had previously explained that his decision to marry multiple wives was influenced by the traditional heritage and customs associated with the throne of Ile-Ife.
