The incumbent House Representative member representing Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency, Festus Akingbaso, has emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress House of Representatives primary election for the Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency.
Results released at the end of the exercise showed that Akingbaso polled 10,521 votes to defeat other aspirants in the keenly contested primary election.
A former lawmaker, Tajudeen Adefisoye, came second with 1,432 votes, while Rasaq Obe secured 1,029 votes.
Another aspirant, Barrister Tayo Akinyeye, garnered 808 votes in the contest.
The primary election, conducted under the supervision of party officials, was described as peaceful and transparent.
Party stakeholders and supporters who participated in the exercise commended the conduct of the poll and urged members of the APC to remain united ahead of the general election.
