Tinubu Hosts Denmark’s Richest Man Anders Povlsen at Aso Rock, Boosting Nigeria-Denmark Ties

On Tuesday, October 28th, 2025, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu received Denmark’s wealthiest individual, Anders Holch Povlsen, at the State House in Abuja, popularly known as Aso Rock. Povlsen is the Chief Executive Officer of Bestseller and Chairman of the Bestseller Foundation. The meeting also involved senior officials including the Danish Ambassador to Nigeria, Jens Hansen, the President’s Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, and Nigeria’s Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani.

The visit is seen as part of President Tinubu’s ongoing strategic efforts to attract foreign investment and deepen economic cooperation between Nigeria and Denmark. Since assuming office, Tinubu’s administration has reportedly secured investment commitments worth over $50 billion from his extensive foreign engagements.
