A Nigerian Law School student at the Yola Campus, Ayomiposi Ojajuni, has passed away shortly after he was reportedly disqualified from participating in the Bar Final examinations.
According to information obtained by The legalobserver, Ojajuni, a graduate of Olabisi Onabanjo University, became extremely distressed on the morning of Saturday, December 6, after being informed that he would not be allowed to sit for the professional exam, which commenced that same day.
The disqualification was said to be connected to disciplinary issues, as the school had previously issued several queries to him.
Following the incident, he was taken to the Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital, Yola, where he was later confirmed dead on Sunday.
The situation has sparked conversations about student welfare, disciplinary processes, and mental health support within tertiary institutions.
Further updates are expected as authorities continue to review the circumstances surrounding the incident.
