Bayelsa State Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Oborawharievwo Ewhrudjakpo, has reportedly passed away.
According to reports, he died on Thursday in an undisclosed hospital at the age of 60. As at the time of this report, neither the Bayelsa State Government nor his family has released an official statement regarding the circumstances surrounding his death.
Earlier on Thursday, the Deputy Governor collapsed in his office and was rushed to the hospital for emergency care.
Ewhrudjakpo, born on September 5, 1965, previously served as a federal lawmaker and had been Bayelsa’s Deputy Governor since 2020.
