Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Monday formally swore in Abdul-Ganiyu Obasa as the Chairman of Agege Local Government, urging him to focus on grassroots development and align his administration with the state’s development priorities.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at Lagos House, Ikeja, and also featured the inauguration of Toyin Adejimiwa as a Permanent Secretary.

The governor emphasised that discipline, performance, and accountability remain key criteria for leadership and advancement in Lagos State. He also acknowledged the presence of retired permanent secretaries at the event, praising their contributions to the growth of the state’s civil service.

Sanwo-Olu congratulated both Adejimiwa and Obasa on behalf of the Lagos State Government and expressed confidence in their ability to justify the trust placed in them and contribute to the state’s development.

In their remarks, the newly sworn-in officials thanked the governor for the opportunity and pledged to uphold the values and standards of public service in Lagos State.
