VIDEO:Anthony Joshua Attends Funeral Prayer for Late Friends in London

Former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua attended the funeral prayer for his late friends Kevin Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami at the London Central Mosque on Sunday.

Latif, Joshua’s personal trainer, and Ghami, his strength and conditioning coach, tragically died in a car accident on the Lagos–Ibadan expressway on December 29. Joshua, who sustained minor injuries in the crash, was treated and discharged in Nigeria before returning to the United Kingdom on Saturday.

Photos and videos from the service show Joshua in black attire, participating in the solemn Islamic rites alongside other attendees. Joshua also shared images with the grieving families on social media, captioning them: “My Brother’s Keeper ❤️🕊️❤️.”

The Nigerian police confirmed that Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, the driver involved in the accident, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and operating a vehicle without a valid license. The Ogun State Magistrate’s Court has adjourned the case to January 20. Kayode was granted bail of N5,000,000 but remains in custody pending fulfillment of the bail conditions.https://www.facebook.com/share/r/17TjXjw5XH/

Although born in England, Joshua frequently visits his hometown of Sagamu, Ogun State. His recent trip follows his exhibition bout against Jake Paul at the Kaseya Centre in Miami, where he secured a knockout victory.
