The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that more than 6.2 million Nigerians completed their online pre-registration in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.
Data released on Monday showed that 6,232,673 pre-registrants were recorded between September 22 and 28, 2025. Women accounted for 3,250,338 (52.15%), while men made up 2,982,335 (47.85%). Young people aged 18 to 34 dominated the exercise with 4.2 million entries, while students contributed 1.56 million. Registrations by persons with disabilities stood at 137,865.
INEC also reported that in Week Five of the CVR (September 22–26), 1,004,132 Nigerians completed both online and physical registrations. This figure comprised 537,743 online completions and 466,389 in-person registrations.
Of those, 555,077 were women (55.28%) and 449,055 men (44.72%). Youths accounted for 742,379, students 354,406, and persons with disabilities 13,987
