Odili Backs Fubara, Declares Him Political Leader of Rivers State

Former Rivers State Governor, Dr. Peter Odili, has publicly reaffirmed his support for Governor Siminalayi Fubara amid the ongoing political tension in the state.

Speaking at an event in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, Odili assured the governor that the people of Rivers State stand firmly behind him and recognize him as the state’s political leader. He urged Fubara to remain resolute despite the challenges confronting his administration.

According to Odili, Rivers people have made it clear that they are united with the governor in his political journey. He conveyed their message of solidarity, encouraging Fubara to stay strong and maintain his position with faith and confidence.

“You are standing on solid ground,” Odili told the governor. “The people are with you wherever you go and wherever you stand. Hold your ground and trust in God.”

His remarks come amid a renewed political clash between Governor Fubara and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, which has continued to fuel tensions within the state’s political landscape.
