Tinubu Will Score a Massive Victory in the South-East in 2027, Uzodimma Asserts at APC Rally

The Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has reiterated his confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will secure a decisive victory across the South-East geopolitical zone in the 2027 general election, saying support for the re-election bid is gaining momentum at the grassroots.

Uzodimma, who also serves as Director-General of the Renewed Hope Nigeria initiative, spoke in Umuahia, Abia State, on Friday during the inauguration of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) for the zone. The event was designed to mobilise and galvanise support for Tinubu’s second-term bid.

Represented at the occasion by the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Barr. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, Uzodimma described the ambassadors as pivotal to boosting the President’s appeal in every local government area across Abia State. “You are the human face of the Renewed Hope initiative in your communities. You are not just mere political appointees but genuine individuals ready to make a difference,” he said, urging them to engage with citizens and communicate their needs to the government.

He charged the group to foster deeper connections between communities and the federal government, saying their mandate went beyond partisan politics. “As ambassadors, you must listen to the needs and aspirations of your community and transmit them to the government for proper attention.”

Uzodimma described Renewed Hope Nigeria as an initiative aligned with Tinubu’s commitment to revitalise hope and improve living standards for Nigerians, rather than merely a political structure. According to him, the ambassadors’ role in grassroots mobilisation would “boost the President’s re-election bid in 2027.”

He reiterated the APC’s belief that Tinubu’s policies have begun to yield tangible results and that the party’s message of progress would resonate strongly with voters in the South-East. “We encourage you all to be great mobilisers — creative-minded, innovative and responsive — in order to achieve the great mandate of re-electing President Tinubu in the 2027 General election,” Uzodimma said.

In his address, APC Chairman in Abia State Dr. Kingsley Ononogbo praised President Tinubu for what he described as a renewed focus on development in the South-East. He cited the establishment of the South-East Development Commission, the approval of an Abia Airport and modular refinery, and other federal initiatives as evidence of “visionary leadership and responsible governance.”

Ononogbo urged the ambassadors to bridge gaps between the party and the populace through advocacy, civic engagement, political education, and constructive dialogue. “The message of the Renewed Hope agenda focuses on evangelising achievements and milestones of the President. It is not an evangelism of lies but of truth, facts and figures,” he stated.

The event also saw contributions from other party stalwarts, including Chief Henry Ikoh, State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Agenda, who charged the ambassadors to work closely with the Abia APC in rallying support for Tinubu. Ikoh emphasised the need to carry the party’s flag in all 184 wards and 17 local government areas of the state.

Chieftains such as Paul Ikonne and Senator Nkechi Nwogu, former Senator representing Abia Central, echoed similar sentiments, saying they expected strong voter turnout for Tinubu based on his administration’s achievements. “We’ll massively vote for President Tinubu in 2027 because of his great achievements. Abia will no longer be left behind in the scheme of things,” they stated.
