The Independent National Electoral Commission has formally recognised a faction of the National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party aligned with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
The update was reflected on the commission’s official website on Monday, where a revised list of the opposition party’s national leadership was published.
Among those named are Abdulrahman Mohammed as National Chairman and Samuel Anyanwu as National Secretary, alongside other members occupying key positions within the party’s hierarchy.
The emergence of the officials followed the PDP National Convention held on Sunday night at the Velodrome of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
At the convention, party delegates adopted a consensus arrangement to return members of the National Working Committee after dissolving the National Caretaker Committee.
Other individuals listed in the updated leadership structure include Aaron Chukwuemeka and Yusufu Akirikwen as Deputy National Chairmen for the South and North respectively, while Kolawale Olabisi was named Deputy National Secretary.
Odeyemi Oladiran and Lado Marke were listed as National Treasurer and Deputy National Treasurer, with Eyim Henry and Grema Kyari serving as National Financial Secretary and Deputy.
Umar Bature was named National Organising Secretary, with Efere Augustine as his deputy, while Jungudo Mohammed and Egwu Chidiebere emerged as National Publicity Secretary and Deputy respectively.
Kamaldeen Ajibade was listed as National Legal Adviser alongside his deputy, Aloysius Uba, while Osuoha Donatus and Adaba Seri Yatu were named National Auditor and Deputy.
The list also included Ogunshe Adedayo and Hauwa Shinge as National Women Leader and Deputy, as well as Ibrahim Aboki and Momoh Bashir as National Youth Leader and Deputy respectively.
