Oyebanji’s continuity plan best for Ekiti, says commissioner

The Ekiti State Commissioner for Youth Development, Adesola Adedayo, has described Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s continuity agenda as the most viable option for sustaining development and progress in the state.

Adedayo, who spoke in Ado Ekiti while hosting youth groups in his office, said extending the current administration beyond its first term would consolidate gains recorded in key sectors, including infrastructure, security, and youth empowerment.

He praised the governor’s leadership style, noting that his policies had driven economic stability and accelerated development across the state.

According to him, the continuity of the present administration would further strengthen ongoing reforms and ensure sustained growth.

Adedayo also commended Oyebanji’s governance approach, which he said had fostered peace, strengthened partnerships, and enhanced prudent resource management.

He, however, criticised opposition figures seeking to unseat the governor, describing them as lacking the experience required to lead the state effectively.

The commissioner warned against what he termed a return to “trial-and-error” leadership, stressing that Ekiti could not afford to reverse the progress already made.

He added that the current administration had improved internally generated revenue significantly, increased employment opportunities, and executed major infrastructure projects, including road construction and agricultural initiatives.

Adedayo urged residents to support the governor’s re-election bid, maintaining that continuity would guarantee further development and improved living standards for the people.

He said the administration’s achievements in revenue growth, youth development, and economic expansion underscored the need for sustained leadership.
