ADC to Tinubu: Stop Disguising Nigerian Over Coup Attempt, Warns Against Victimisation of Opposition

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has strongly cautioned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu against using the recent narrative of a coup plot as an excuse to persecute or victimize political opposition figures.

In a recent statement, the ADC leadership warned the President to desist from deploying the “coup story” as a pretext for a political witch-hunt. The party asserts that this narrative is being used strategically to clamp down on opponents and simultaneously divert the attention of Nigerians from the country’s significant socio-economic challenges.

The ADC called on the Tinubu administration to shift its focus from political maneuverings and alleged victimization to addressing the pressing issues affecting the Nigerian populace, emphasizing the need for robust governance over perceived political distractions.
