The All Progressives Congress (APC) has received the newly elected chairmen of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) area councils, following the ruling party’s commanding performance at the polls.
The APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, and the Chairman of the APC National Campaign Council, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, were among party leaders who welcomed the chairmen.
Members of the Party’s National Working Committee (NWC) were also in attendance.
The ruling party clinched five of the six councils, winning the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Abaji, Kuje, Bwari, and Kwali.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) managed to secure just one council, while the African Democratic Congress (ADC) which housed a coalition of opposition leaders failed to win any.
The party announced the reception of the newly elected chairmen via its official X handle on Monday.
