Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has expressed confidence that he would win massive support from Nigerians should he decide to vie for the presidency.
Wike made the claim on Monday during an interaction with selected journalists, asserting that his popularity across the country remains strong.
“I still enjoy the love of Nigerians, and if I choose to run, they will vote overwhelmingly for me,” he stated.
The former Rivers State governor highlighted his ability to connect with ordinary citizens, stressing that his track record in public service speaks volumes about his leadership credentials.
He further pointed to his achievements both as governor and in his current role as FCT Minister, saying they underscore his commitment to delivering results.
Wike also expressed confidence in his political network within the nation’s capital, insisting that his supporters would prevail even if the recently concluded area council elections were repeated.
