BREAKING: Gov Fintiri dumps PDP, defects to APC

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, on Friday sent shockwaves across the nation’s political landscape as he formally defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the ruling All Progressives Congress, taking along his entire cabinet and all PDP officials in the state.

Fintiri, who made the announcement in a statewide broadcast, declared that his decision to cross carpet was driven by the need to advance the developmental interests of the people of Adamawa State.

The governor’s move marks a significant political realignment in the North-East state, further tightening the APC’s grip on the region’s political space.

His defection, alongside the wholesale movement of his cabinet members and party officials, signals what political analysts may describe as a complete collapse of PDP’s structure in Adamawa State.

Fintiri had long been a key figure in the PDP’s stronghold in the North-East and his exit is expected to send tremors through the opposition party’s national structure ahead of future electoral contests.
