2027: ADC moves to mobilise in Edo as Attah eyes Reps seat

The African Democratic Congress has commenced grassroots mobilisation in Edo State ahead of the 2027 general elections, following resolutions reached at its recent National Executive Committee meeting.

A member of the NEC disclosed that the party had approved a fresh membership drive in compliance with the Electoral Act, with primary elections scheduled to begin on April 7.

In Akoko-Edo Local Government Area, mobilisation efforts have gathered momentum, with stakeholders engaging residents through a series of meetings aimed at boosting the party’s presence in the area.

At one of the meetings held over the weekend, businessman and philanthropist, Thomas Attah, formally declared his intention to contest for the party’s ticket to represent Akoko-Edo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

Attah, in his declaration, said his ambition was driven by a commitment to improve the welfare of constituents and contribute meaningfully to the development of the area.
