Nigerian on-air personality, Roby Ekpo, became emotional during a podcast appearance as he recounted how he allegedly discovered that his wife had remarried in the United States despite years of separation and financial support from him.
Ekpo, who featured on an unreleased episode of Honest Bunch Podcast, was seen in a viral video clip struggling to hold back tears while narrating the ordeal.
The media personality said he became aware of the alleged collapse of his marriage after stumbling on private messages purportedly sent by his wife, in which she expressed dissatisfaction with their relationship.
According to him, the message—unknown to her that he had accessed it—revealed deep-seated frustration and emotional detachment.
Quoting from the message, Ekpo said, “I don’t even care if he loves me or not because what can love do for me besides stress me? He isn’t taking care of me as a man should. He isn’t satisfying me sexually. He isn’t helping my spiritual life. He isn’t spoiling me. He isn’t anything good… I have been coping with unsatisfying sex for almost three years.”
He said the content of the message came as a shock, particularly after years of attempting to sustain the relationship from a distance.
“I’m 48 years old. I don’t have a child… I even started going for sperm tests,” he said, noting that he had believed both of them were still working towards building a family.
Ekpo further alleged that his wife underwent a medical procedure in the United States, which he was initially told was fertility-related, but later suspected may not have been as presented.

He also lamented the financial sacrifices he made during the period his wife resided abroad.
“For about six years, she travelled and I kept sending money. I have receipts. Sometimes I would earn ₦500,000 from a job and send ₦200,000. I even sent flowers through friends in the US,” he said.
The video has since sparked reactions online, with many expressing sympathy over his experience.
